Lena Chen

is a reluctant sexpert, a feminist and queer advocate, and a walking case study on bad publicity. As a Harvard undergrad, she authored the blog Sex and the Ivy about her college sexcapades and misadventures. Her reputation has never quite recovered. Want to give her a book deal, send her hate mail, or misquote her in an article? Read her daily musings at The Ch!cktionary and check out her full bio.

I’ll be presenting my thesis alongside other undergraduate scholars who have done interdisciplinary work related to gender and sexuality. Here’s the line-up:
Panel 1: Gender and Sexual Identities: Interdisciplinary Perspectives— Kristen Jones: Psychological Perspectives on Gender Identities and Roles— Sam Meier: Sociological and Medical Perspectives on Transgender Identities— Richard Kelley: Oral Narratives of Coming Out among LGBT Youth— Tamar Holoshitz: The Linguistic Structure of Sexual AssaultPanel 2: Gender and the Social Environment: Contexts and Experiences— Catherine Humphreville: Gender and Hardcore Punk— Lena Chen: The Social Transformation of Sexual Norms in America— Jenny Zhang : The Moral Experience of Childbearing in Rural China— Rashmi Jasrasaria: Microfinance and Women’s Empowerment in Tanzania
Dinner is being served in between the two panels. You can RSVP to the Facebook event here. Hope to see some of you there!
